Brazilian striker Vinicius Júnior, from Real Madrid (Spain), finally received this Monday (16) the trophy for best player of the 2023/2024 season of the European Champions League. He was chosen to receive the award in early June, a few days after the final of the competition.
The player posted a photo on his social media profile with the award during training with his team, which will debut in the next edition of Europe’s main club competition next Tuesday (17) against Stuttgart (Germany).
“Work and personality take you to high places. Thank you to all my teammates for this. I love you,” said the striker.
Vinicius played 10 matches in the competition for champions Real Madrid, scoring six goals and providing five assists. The Brazilian scored Real’s second goal in a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund (Germany) in the final of the competition, winning his second Champions League trophy with the club.
