The deputy and president of Patria Querida, Sebastián Villarejo, is on a tour of the department of Itapúa where he will hold several meetings to support his candidacy for the presidency and promote agreement.
Villarejo, beyond speaking about his candidacy, promotes agreement as the most strategic and democratic way to face the Colorado Party in 2023. “We want to put together a great front, we have to awaken hope. This is a great struggle between the decent and the miserable, between the corrupt and the honest, and we have to initiate this process of change in Paraguay. We believe in concertation, we believe in unity and we are going to present ourselves and do everything in our power to build changes and involve a new generation,” said Villarejo.
The legislator also referred to the political trial of the attorney general, Sandra Quiñónez, which was shelved due to the collaboration of the ruling party with the chartists. “That concord and scar will always exist in the Colorado Party to defend a system that we have to destroy ourselves,” she asserted in this regard.
He indicated that campaigning at this time “requires a lot of effort and greater conviction.” “Challenges end up motivating us. We have to ensure that hope is reborn. We need good people to get involved and we must all realize that decisions that have an impact on our lives are made in politics, ”she said.
He added that there is still time for the sectors that want to join the agreement. “Anyone who wants to come to the table can do so because we are going to present different models, different political models,” he said.
“We are going to confront, we are going to debate and from that debate of ideas, the agreement is going to be the mechanism to choose the candidate. It is the people who are going to choose between one or the other model. Citizens are going to choose the political model that must compete against continuity in 2023”, she pointed out.
