The deputy and president of the Patria Querida Party, Sebastián Villarejo, on his tour of the department of Caaguazú, met with members of the Territorial Association of Original Peoples (ATPO) and the Kambay indigenous community of that department.
“Of course, the investment of the Ministry of Public Works in asphalt is important, but we must not ignore local roads,” Villarejo said during his visit to the Tesãirã Rekavo hospital of the indigenous community, as part of his election campaign. presidential.
Villarejo promised that his government will prioritize the construction of all-weather roads throughout Paraguay and referred to cobbled, gravel, and others.
“If there is a route, but people cannot even leave their community on a motorcycle to work, to take their products, for their children to go to school, the route is useless. So you have to build neighborhood roads at all times so that there is connectivity », he stated.
He added that it is urgent to give importance to the people, not only with the roads but also with public transport. “People also need all-weather roads and efficient public transport throughout Paraguay and those will be my priorities,” said Villarejo, who will run for president in the coalition elections.
