This Sunday, at 12:00 midnight, the vigil for the canonization of the mother began Carmen Rendiles Martínez and the Doctor José Gregorio Hernándeza milestone for the Church and a reason for joy for all Catholics in Venezuela and the world.
The ceremony in the Vatican, which officially raises the first Venezuelan saints to the altars, will start at 4:00 am (Caracas time) and will be broadcast live through multiple platforms, with massive celebrations in emblematic cities for the country’s Catholic faith.
Earlier, the inauguration of the statue of José Gregorio Hernández took place in Plaza La Candelaria, and from there, where the vigil is being held, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported on his social networks that more than 20 works were delivered throughout the national territory in honor of the blessed, just hours before their canonization.
Likewise, the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Gesù (Sacred Heart of Jesus) in Rome is also the epicenter of the Venezuelan faith abroad. Hundreds of pilgrims and religious held a special vigil of prayer, music and meditation, as part of the canonization of Dr. José Gregorio Hernández and Mother Carmen Rendiles.
