Minh Chinh stressed that the confrontation with climate change is based on common responsibilities, but also differentiated according to the conditions, circumstances and capacities of each country, and under the principle of equity and social justice.
He ruled that restoring nature should be the top priority in all development decisions and the highest ethical standard at all levels, from governments and companies to individuals.
This (climate change) is a global problem and, consequently, it must be solved from a universal approach, he stressed.
According to VNA, the Vietnamese news agency, Minh Chinh’s speech was highly appreciated by his colleagues from other nations and representatives of international organizations present at the Summit.
Many expressed willingness to cooperate with Vietnam in finding solutions capable of promoting green growth and increasing resilience to extreme weather events, the outlet commented.
