Colombia is preparing for the arrival of the tropical cyclone, which is already being felt in the coastal areas of the Caribbean. Precisely, some users on social networks recorded the waterspouts that were generated in the Rosario and Barú Islands, which alerted the inhabitants of the coastwho associated it with the arrival of the tropical cyclone.
However, the General Maritime Directorate, through its National Marine Meteorological Service, attached to the CIOH Caribe, told the newspaper El Universal that “the two waterspouts are the product of humidity and not due to the passage of potential cyclone number 2 ”.

In addition, they indicated that “the two waterspouts on the island of Barú are related to the wet season, so the right conditions are found to form.”
Precisely, the atmospheric phenomenon moved through the Caribbean on Wednesday as a tropical storm with winds of 65 km / h. “It is expected to be near or over Nicaragua by Friday night,” according to the latest warning from the National Hurricane Center (CNH) of the United States.
The authorities have taken measures to protect the vulnerable population in territories near the coast.
However, the captain of the Fragata, José Andrés Díaz, director of the Caribbean Oceanographic and Hydrographic Research Center (CIOH), gave a piece of calm about the alerts issued by the Ideam on the arrival of Cyclone Two this weekend to Colombia.

The predicted trajectory indicates that it will pass very close to or even touch the La Guajira Peninsula, which will have a significant impact with high precipitation, high waves and, of course, gusts of wind.
The climatic phenomenon will be felt in the departments of La Guajira, Magdalena and there will also be influence in the departments of Atlántico and Bolívar.
