His arrival at the Las Americas International Airport took place in a framework of euphoric celebrationwelcomed by a crowd of fans and an official delegation headed by the Vice President Raquel Peñawho highlighted his pride in Paulino’s achievement.

However, it should be noted that the crowd gathered at AILA exceeded the possible logistics established, so the reception ceremony for Marileidy Paulino and the other medalists was not possible. The organization of the event, unfortunately, was not well coordinated and for that reason the media and the population were not able to see the athletes at Las Américas International Airport.
Paulino, who made history by becoming the first Dominican athlete to complete the “Golden Cycle” by winning gold medals at the Central American, Pan American and Olympic Games, expressed her gratitude to the Dominican people for the support received. This achievement is a reflection of her dedication and effort throughout her career, and represents an important milestone for sport in her country.

Fans came together in a show of support and affection not only for Marileidy, but also for other athletes who have raised the name of the Dominican Republic.
Among these athletes, boxers Cristian Pinales and Yunior Alcántara stand out, who also had an outstanding performance in the Olympic Games. The arrival of these athletes includes an official reception, organized by the country’s sports and Olympic authorities.
In addition to the reception at the airport, Marileidy will participate in a series of events and tributes in her honor in Don Gregorio, her hometown, where her extraordinary career and contribution to athletics will be recognized. Her victory in Paris not only reaffirms her position as one of the best athletes in the world, but also inspires future generations of Dominican athletes to follow in her footsteps and achieve great success on the international stage.
