The former president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, had an emotional reception on his arrival in the city of Santa Marta on the morning of this Thursday, November 10, where he will participate in the VIII Meeting of the Puebla Group, which brings together progressive leaders from the American continent.
Morales, who for many years was in office in the Bolivian country, was received outside the Simón Bolívar airport amid drums, maracas and much dancing.

There he was seen chatting very happily with one of the native women. Meanwhile, it is expected that during his stay in the city, Morales will be part of the political conversation for the comprehensive construction of progressive ideas in Latin America.
In addition, topics such as the roadmap that countries must take into account for an energy transition, environmental strategies for the preservation of the Amazon, and leadership in the economies led by leftist governments will be discussed.
Along with Morales, former presidents José Luis Zapatero, Ernesto Samper (Colombia) and Rafael Correa (Ecuador), Dilma Rousseff (Brazil), among others, will also be present.
