What started as a verbal discussion got out of control when the man in the truck, identified as Joaquín Guillermo Domínguez Castillo46 years old and a native of Boyacáhe complained to the driver of the car. During the confrontation, he groped him while holding in one of his hands what appeared to be a firearmwhich was later passed to one of the people who accompanied him.

Between them there was assaultsbut at one point the Commissar subdued the other person. He police commander in Quindío, colonel Luis Fernando Atuesta Zárateindicated that both were captured.

“Once the Police were alerted and arrived at the scene, they made two arrests, the first for personal injuries and the second for intimidation or threat. The first captured is Juan Camilo Sepúlveda Pulgarín, 28 years old, resident in Armenia, and the second captured Mr. Joaquín Domínguez, a native of Sutamarchán,” said Atuesta Zárate.

After knowing the fact from the images released, in the last hours the mayor of Sutamarchán, Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, He clarified that the official has been in office through public competition since 2022 and that he was not appointed by his administration; In addition, he asked the competent authorities to carry out the respective investigation.

“The commissioner was on vacation since December 23rd. As municipal administration and as mayor we totally reject acts of violence and we disapprove of any type of behavior that violates the dignity and integrity of people. We ask for an impartial investigation in compliance with the law,” said Miguel Ángel Rodríguez.

Although both people have already been released, the case is under investigation to determine if there is any sanction to the public official for this behavior.
