film producer, Robert Angel Salcedobetter known as Robertico, announced this Monday that he will join the ranks of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM).

In a video broadcast through digital platforms, Salcedo explained that after spending a long time receiving the support of people in private activities, such as television and cinema, he understands that he must return some measure of service and attention to the society.

“There comes a time when, after so much effort from a professional point of view, one wants to contribute to improving people’s quality of life, achieve social transformations, and through politics it is the most expeditious and functional vehicle”Salcedo said.

In that sense, he said that the PRM allows him new possibilities to enter honest politics with young people and with leaders who coincide with his thought and important commitment to develop the country for the benefit of all citizens.

“Many had thought that I was already in the party (formally) because of the level of connection I have with a large part of its leadership at the national level (…)) I have had opportunities, not only in the framework of the campaign, but in this first time of the government, of visiting many provinces of the country and the reception has been with great affection, with great affability”, he highlighted.

Roberto Ángel Salcedo assured that he is a member who arrives at the PRM with a firm position in favor of youth, women, the working class and the incorporation of new technologies to use them in these processes that are very important for dynamization and party modernization.

In the video they participate, welcoming Roberto, Jose Ignacio Paliza and Carolina Mejia, president and general secretary of the party, respectively. In the audiovisual they ponder the qualities of the Perremeist militancy, they narrate the experiences lived in the birth of the political entity, the relationship with President Luis Abinader and, of course, they ponder the qualities of Roberto Ángel as a new member of the party.

“Robertico is a person who, since I have the use of reason, I have only seen him working, and at work he has managed to forge a life and a career and a good name in his tasks,” Paliza valued.

On her side, Carolina Mejía affirmed that having Roberto Ángel in the PRM it is injecting that joy of a talented young man who is determined by conviction to do and do his part to help the country.

“I am grateful to the president of the party, José Ignacio Paliza, my friend of so many years; my dear friend Carolina Mejía for the reception, I feel very pleased and very committed that from this moment we formally join the ranks of the party and consequently to all political-party work”, said the businessman and producer.

“It’s time to work, it’s time for the Modern Revolutionary Party,” he said.

It is recalled that several days ago the also prominent businessman and politician valued the social policies of the president’s government Louis Abinader that are generating changes demanded by the Dominican population.

In this sense, he valued the investments made by the head of state that “are transforming the border provinces.”

During a tour of southern cities, Salcedo highlighted that as an example of this, the current administration has made a total investment of 1,811,040,467 pesos in this region, impacting a population of more than 25,000 inhabitants, distributed among the municipalities of Partido, Loma de Cabrera , Restoration, El Pino and Dajabón.

In this sense, he also pointed out that the Agricultural Bank, until April of this year, granted 1,950 million pesos in loans, with a formalized amount of RD$2,727,496,105 and a disbursed amount of RD$2,570,985,067.
