VIDEO| Maluma gets angry and leaves a live interview in Qatar

Hoy Paraguay

In an interview with the Israeli public television Kan, the singer Maluma experienced an uncomfortable moment and ended up leaving the live interview after the journalist asked him about the alleged violations of human rights in the country that will host the competition.

“I must ask you: Shakira and Dua Lipa they refused to participate in this World Cup because of Qatar’s poor human rights record and obviously people think ‘Maluma, don’t you have problems with human rights violations in this country?‘” the journalist asked.

“Yes, but it’s something I can’t solve”, replied the artist. “I have only come here to enjoy life and the football festival. It’s not something I have to get involved in, really. I am here enjoying my music and my beautiful life, playing football too”, he added.

The communicator insisted: “But do you understand people who are going to say that your mere presence here is helping to cover up…?” But Maluma interrupted angrily: “Should I answer this question?”.

From the other side of the camera, someone from his team told the artist that he did not have to answer, so the Colombian decided to drop the microphone and leave the set, ending the interview.

“This is not done, you are rude”Maluma said and left the interview while the journalist tried to explain that he was moved by the “thoughts of the people.”
