Video investigations launched into nurses who beat and mocked Alzheimer’s patient

Nurse Aurona Pelak, a worker at a nursing home in Kosovo, was dismissed from her duties after a video went viral on social networks in which she was seen beating and making fun of an Alzheimer’s patient along with other colleagues, who also they were suspended.

In the images, the woman is heard saying: “Just a little slap, a little kick”, in front of the helplessness and the screams of the victim.

It was learned that the event would have occurred last weekend, but it was made public this week, causing outrage and rejection by the public.

So far, the specialist indicated in statements that the patient “was very aggressive that day and had occasional nervous breakdowns. We informed the doctor about the problem, but I was not violent or used much force, except to prevent him from attacking me.
