[Video] Aircraft left the runway on landing at the Santa Marta airport

This Sunday an aircraft accident was reported at the Santa Marta airport which generated panic. A landing plane skidded off the runway and almost ended up in the sea had it not been for a tree it crashed into meters earlier.

The aircraft exceeded the limits of the airport and its fence and went off the runway. The plane that crashed is a Cirrus Vision SF50 G2 [HK-5342G] belonging to Helistar Colombia.

The initial report from the authorities is that There are four injured people who are being taken to hospital.

At the moment the authorities have not reported what was the cause of the accident, whether a human fault or a mechanical one.
