In the last hours and through their social networks, Victoria Donda announced that she submitted her resignation as president of INADI (National Institute Against Discrimination, Xenophobia and Racism).
The official, who held said position since 2019, maintained that it “closes a cycle” since it is “convinced that institutional responsibilities are stages of a more extensive path.” However, Victoria Donda He confirmed that his resignation does not represent a departure from the Frente de Todos.
In addition, Victoria Donda He hinted in his resignation letter that he has some differences with the Government: “Today I am writing these lines moving away from my institutional role as head of INADI, rightly convinced that people stopped listening where they should be doing it the most”indicated.
The official also stressed that before making her decision, she had found out, from Juan Manuel Olmos, head of advisors to the presidency, that the continuity of her position was in doubt, due to her position regarding the current stage of the Government.
In this context, she stressed: “There was some uncertainty about what was going to happen (I was appointed as controller) and it did not seem fair to me that, because I am a woman and an official, I have to set aside my political positions, simply because I do not agree with many of the decisions that are being taken from a part of the Government”.
Consequently, the now former president of INADI considered it necessary to “close the cycle” that began in 2019 and where, as she assured, she always had “the greatest of commitments.”
In that order, he stressed that the organization managed to form and strengthen delegations throughout the country “so that in each of the provinces the awareness process can be carried out” in the fight against discrimination and xenophobia. Likewise, he highlighted: “the creation of the National Map of discrimination as an input” for the creation of public policies.
Donda will not move away from the Front of All
The official He stressed that “the Frente de Todos continues to be the place to build the political project that I believe is the most efficient tool to transform reality.”
For this reason, she clarified that, although she leaves her position, she will not move away from the bloc: “I will continue to do so by being a daily militant and being a responsible national leader and with the conviction that only by listening, knowing and interpreting our people, we can contribute to having the free, just and egalitarian society we dream of”.
