Víctor Bogado was dismissed from Celeste Amarilla's complaint

Víctor Bogado, a former national senator for the ANR, was dismissed in the lawsuit filed by Celeste Amarilla, a national deputy for the PLRA.

The legislator had denounced him for allegedly denigrating the memory of her husband Franklin Boccia, former director of Itaipu, who died in 2015.

The trial began in February 2021 and ended today, after a year and four months.

The case formally began in September 2018 as a derivation of the “Golden Nanny” case. Since, the then legislator, during that oral trial, had said that Boccia was the one who hired Gabriela Quintana at the Itaipu binational and not Víctor Bogado.

Judge Blanca Gorostiaga argued that the case has already prescribed. However, the plaintiff attorney announced that she will request an appeal.
