This Tuesday, the names of several of the Venezuelans who died as a result of a run-over in front of a homeless center in Brownsville in the state of Texas were known.
The victims were identified as Bryan García de (24) and Enyerbert Cabarcas de (23), who were from Zulia state.
Jorge Luis Flores and Héctor David Medina Medero, were other of the deceased from Falcón state.
Medero was 24 years old, he first emigrated to Peru and then to the United States (USA) where he was going to meet his mother in Chicago, according to local media reports.
Another of the victims was identified as Richard Bustamante, a former official of the Portuguesa State Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (Cicpc), who migrated with two friends, managed to cross the Darién Jungle in April. His goal was to settle in the US so that later his wife could go with him.
Jorge Luis Flores, a native of Punto Fijo, Falcón state, also lost his life. He had migrated to the US in the company of his wife and two nephews who are still being held at the border.
The driver of the vehicle that caused the death of the migrants, George Álvarez, had an extensive criminal record for charges such as driving under the influence, theft of a vehicle, and assault on officials, among others.
