“It is forbidden to forget this scammer that today we see her with physical changes that cost from eight thousand to 10 thousand dollars of the money that I paid during all this time looking for health for my son,” said Samanta Moquete, victim of Elizabeth Silverio Silverio.
Silverio, who is accused of falsifying university degrees to pose as a neuroscientist and psychologist, defrauding parents of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), will face a substantive trial before the Third Collegiate Court of the National District.
At the hearing this Friday in which the parties presented their conclusions, Moquete, with a broken voice, asked that justice be done, because Silverio played with his son’s health, time and money.
“The mockery, Elizabeth Silveriofrom the pain of others shows poverty and mental misery. “No one builds their happiness based on the accompanying pain,” said the mother.
During the hearing, the Public Ministry requested Silverio’s guilty plea this Friday.
The prosecution requests a sentence of 10 years in prison, in addition to the payment of a fine equivalent to 50 minimum wages, criminal costs and the destruction of all false documents, stamps and clothing that he used to carry out his illicit activity.
Silverio faces charges for violations of articles 147, 148, 150, 151 and 405 of the Dominican Penal Code, which punish document falsification public, the use of false documents, the scam and the illegitimate practice of medicine.
