The Police arrested one of the accused as the main leader of the abuses registered in the Guarayos province, a fact that led to the statement of the affected victims, demanding the imprisonment of the accused.

“TWe are aware that yesterday (Monday) Rimberto Yavira Veizaga, the alleged ringleader of the abuses. He “He has many things to explain, being the alleged leader of the criminal group, because they entered with weapons and intimidated the inhabitants of each property,” said the affected person.

“There were 90 hectares of one of the properties that are in my son’s name, and 13 hectares of mine (they conquered); the people who entered told us that it was Rimberto who sent them,” denounced Piedades Franco.

He recalled that since 2022 there has been an arrest warrant against Rimberto, but it was only executed after several property attacks from different areas in the Guarayos province.
“As affected people who have suffered many abuses and economic and personal disasters, we ask that you collaborate with us in taking steps and making it possible for this to stop (due to the abuses),” said the affected person.
He emphasized the messages of President Luis Arce, who declared that they are against the subjugations, and took the floor to demand that work be done to stop these events.
Lawyer Álvaro la Torre indicated that Rimberto Yavira Veizaga carried out multiple attacks, not only preventing the owners from entering the property, but also seizing crops and livestock.
“Mr. Yavira is the alleged responsible, and we will make an appearance in the case to request the respective summons. In some assaults we have indications of the participation of this man,” explained the lawyer.
He explained that there are several people affected and that the attacks have been recorded with greater intensity for three years. “There are thousands of hectares that they have occupied illegally,” she said.

“As far as we know, he (Rimberto Yavira) would be in charge of the armed group that violently entered the properties they were attacking,” La Torre explained.

“They have affected crops, livestock, they have taken over many hectares and even cut off roads, the owners have been intimidated by violent and armed groups,” said La Torre.

He added that the now apprehended man operated in the northern area between Guarayos and El Puente, and would also have his base of operation in Cerro Grande, at kilometer 155.
