In an important step, the Association of United Farmers of Vicente Noble, a hardworking community of Barahona, seeking to sustain the quality of the items produced there, was benefited with the financing of a new tractor for an amount of RD$2,345,000 delivered by the Government, through the Special Fund for Agricultural Development,
Hecmilio Galván, executive director of FEDA, expressed that this type of financing is part of the Agriculture Modernization Plan executed by the institution, fulfilling the commitment of President Luis Abinader to bring a helping hand to the Dominican countryside to all communities.
This FEDA plan has financed more than 23 tractors and machinery to associations focused on the development of agricultural productivity, applying modern technologies and providing solutions to the country’s rural communities, with the objective of maximizing land productivity and improving quality. of food.
Vicente Noble is characterized by the production of Banana, Plantain, Sugar Cane and other products, which is why working the land is a fundamental part of its development, translating into greater economic opportunities for the families of Vicente Noble that depend on agriculture.
For his part, Juan Rivas, president of the Association of United Parceleros of Vicente Noble, thanked President Luis Abinader and the FEDA for bringing joy to the countryside and giving support to farmers and parcelers who are committed to promoting the country’s food security.
