After the defeat in Saturday’s election, the losing candidate of the left alliance we will win, Vicente Alanocaused his Facebook account to accuse the faction that supported the victory of his opponent, Ronald Atencio, of being racist.
“I deeply appreciate all those who supported our candidacy; the classic, racist and hateful way of doing politics prevailed. We will continue visiting Peru,” Alanoca wrote in a post published yesterday morning on his social network.
The list of Atencio—lawyer and friend of Guillermo Bermejo— obtained 39 votes, while list 2 of the Puno Aymara anthropologist Alanoca he reached only 31.
For each list, 28 delegates from Nuevo Perú were accredited, on the side of Alanocaand the same number of People’s Voices, on Atencio’s side, and each one cast a vote.

CHAVISTA THOUGHT
In communication with Perú21, Popular Unidad senatorial candidate Duberlí Rodríguez pointed out that he considers the dictatorships of Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua as “popular governments” and described the United States as a dictatorship.

Asked if support for Chavismo was what his group valued to support Atencio, he responded: “What we have seen is that comrade Ronald Atencio has a more defined position of confrontation with the neoliberal model, in such a way that what is needed in Peru is not a change of people, what is needed is a change of course. So, that course has to do, for example, with raising the flag of a new constituent assembly (for a new Constitution).”

DO NOT DENY IT
Perú21 contacted himself Ronald Atencio to ask him if he considered that his victory was due to having a firmer stance of support for Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua, compared to Vicente Alanoca, and he did not deny it.
“I won because my position is in favor of the people, calling for a plurinational constituent assembly, fighting against the right, in addition to being against the economic system,” he responded.
However, Attention He declared in an interview with Exitosa last year that there was no electoral fraud in Nicolás Maduro’s victory.
In addition, Perú21 published in October 2022 a photo of Attention on his Facebook in which he appears excitedly taking a selfie with the dictator of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega.
This medium also confirmed that there were no fights or insults in the vote, as was speculated after Alanoca’s post.
With the appointment of Atencio, the alliance continues its path towards the proclamation of its candidates for Congress after the primary process, which will take place on December 7, through delegate voting.

Luis Miguel Trinidad Abarcaformer militant of Voces del Pueblo and Perú Libre, is running with Venceremos as an accessory for the vice presidency.
