The viceprimer Cuban minister Ricardo Cabrisas (1937-2025) died today Tuesday, September 16 in Havana at age 88.
“Very sad news for #Cuba the death of the beloved fellow Ricardo Cabrisas Ruíz, an exemplary man who dedicated his entire life to the revolution. Our felt condolences and a big hug in this difficult moment arrive at their family and friends,” President Miguel Diaz-Canel wrote.
He was VicePrimer Minister of the Republic since 2019. And Vice Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade from 1980 to 2000.
Cabrisas visit to Türkiye closes with investments agreements
He represented the Cuban government in several international forums, held high responsibilities in the commercial and diplomatic field.
Among many other tasks, he had a relevant role in the renegotiation of Cuban debt with the Paris Club.
The intergovernmental commissions with Russia and China also co -presided over for years, from which projects and credits were achieved.
He was a member of the central committee of the party and deputy to the National Assembly.
