The executive vice president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, pointed out that 200 years after the battle of Ayacucho, Venezuelans continue to battle for independence, sovereignty, and freedom, in a message broadcast on her Instagram account.
“Wherever we are, we feel the greatness of the battle of Ayacucho that our Grand Marshal of Ayacucho fought, young, he was not even 30 years old when he commanded that battle in the highlands of Peru, the patriot army united from Ayacucho, as he had said our father Liberator, (…) Ayacucho is the concern of our enemies,” said the vice president who is on an official visit to the People’s Republic of China.
Rodríguez pointed out that young Venezuelans “are preceded by greatness, the history that runs through their veins and a glorious destiny awaits them.”
He reiterated that Venezuelans will always be fighting daily for national independence, for freedom, sovereignty and above all for “the glory of our Liberating army.”
“It is with deep pride that we celebrate today 200 years since the Battle of Ayacucho, which put an end to Spanish colonialism in our Great Homeland. “We reiterate that we will continue fighting day by day for our national independence, freedom and sovereignty,” he indicated.
“In national unity let us continue to conquer a glorious future for our youth. Long live Venezuela victorious!” finished.
