Vice President thanks Russia for support to enter the Brics Group

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, thanked this Wednesday the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, for his unconditional support for Venezuela’s entry into the Brics group.

This was made known by the vice president through a message published on her Telegram account where she highlighted that both the Brics and Venezuela promote the construction of a pluripolar world free of hegemony.

“Our country has deep historical doctrine whose values, inherited from Bolívar, coincide with the principles that inspire this bloc for the construction of a pluripolar world,” he expressed.

Rodríguez highlighted that Venezuela will make great contributions to the Brics with its immense energy reserve. “With its immense energy reserves, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will provide a great contribution to the Brics in the construction of a new international economic order.”

This Wednesday, Caracas and Moscow reaffirmed their ties in a series of areas, as part of the XVI BRICS Summit, which has been held in Kazan, Russia, since last Tuesday. The strengthening of cooperative relations between both nations took shape in a meeting held between the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and the president of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.

During the meeting, the head of state emphasized that our country has the conditions to deepen the alliance, in all fields, between business sectors of both nations.

“Our entire delegation is prepared for us to advance on bilateral cooperation issues,” Maduro emphasized, while recalling that on November 7, the mixed Russia-Venezuela intergovernmental commission will meet, which has “a very specific map.”

In this sense, he highlighted that Russia and Venezuela They have built indestructible political and moral ties that have been tested in recent years in various scenarios.

For his part, the president of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, assured that Venezuela is the “oldest and most reliable” partner that his country has in Latin America.

In this sense, he highlighted that thanks to these bilateral relations, Russia supports Venezuela’s aspirations to join the Brics bloc.

Likewise, Putin stressed that both nations are jointly carrying out a series of projects in the energy, pharmaceutical, transportation sectors, the peaceful use of outer space, and the use of new technologies.

The National President arrived this Tuesday in the city of KazanRussia, to participate in the XVI Brics Summit.

Upon his arrival, Maduro stated that “the Brics have become the epicenter of the multipolar world, and at the same time, they represent the hope that the countries of the global south, which aspire to development, have the possibility of accessing another economy, which “It is not managed based on sanctions or blackmail, but rather based on shared investment, new technologies.”

Likewise, he highlighted that the greatest expectation he has in this world meeting is to contribute “from Bolivarian Venezuela and our America to a new world,” while he stressed that Venezuela is prepared for that new world, “far from hegemonies, from imperialism”.

The Russian city of Kazan begins the XVI Brics Summit, which will be held until Thursday, October 24. For the first time, the high-level event takes place in an expanded format, with the participation of the new members of the bloc: Egypt, Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia, who join Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

Representatives from more than 20 countries will participate in the meeting, in which authorities are expected to exchange ideas on current regional and global issues, as well as debate various areas of cooperation.

The bloc was originally made up of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, but in January of this year Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia joined.

The Brics Group Summit Its fundamental objective is to continue strengthening multipolarity, as reflected in its motto: “Strengthen multilateralism for equitable global development and security.”
