The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held a meeting with representatives of the International Red Cross movement in Venezuela, organization made up of the Venezuelan Red Cross, the International Committee of the Red Cross and the International Federation of the Red Cross.
The meeting occurs within the framework of the 130 years of operation of the Red Cross in Venezuela, a fact that was recorded on January 30, 1895 under the government of Joaquín Crespo, within the framework of the commemorative acts of the centenary of the Birth of the Marshal Antonio José de Sucre.
Through a publication on his account on the Instagram social network, Rodríguez stressed that they reviewed cooperation spaces in order to offer excellent attention to the Venezuelan.
“We review new joints of joint cooperation for the attention of our people and transmit the greeting of President Nicolás Maduro to all volunteers who are part of this institution on their 130th anniversary,” he wrote.
The Venezuelan Red Cross was founded with the objective of complying with the provisions of the Geneva International Convention, which was signed in 1864, after the creation of this health body a year earlier.
