The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reacted to the statements issued by the far-right leader María Corina Machado in which she accused 60% of the Venezuelan population from Norway of being linked to the drug cartels.
On her social networks, the senior official confronted the extremist and dedicated a text to her in which she assumed that the oligarchy that she represents is the one that is closely related to the world of drug trafficking and the violence that emanates from this business.
From Oslo, Machado said that Venezuela has already been invaded by Russian and Iranian agents and groups called terrorists by the West such as Hezbollah or Hamas, and that they are operating freely with the Venezuelan government. He also accused that the Colombian guerrilla and drug cartels have taken over 60% of the Venezuelan population. All this without presenting a single piece of evidence.
“I imagine that this percentage includes his mother, his children, friends and relatives. The rancid oligarchies of Venezuela have always despised the people at grotesque levels,” said Rodríguez, while highlighting that this political class “can only resort to extremist violence and ask for help from their owners in the north to assault political power.”
The far-right linked the Venezuelan people to drug trafficking criminal groups, along the same lines as the attacks carried out by the United States government against the country.
“Vulgar expressions like these explain the rejection and repudiation of good Venezuelans of this criminal, who has made agreements with Colombian drug trafficking groups, with Uribe and Duque’s paramilitaries, who intends to hand over Essequibo and give away the riches of Venezuela. Good Venezuelans are very clear about this rotten fascist class. They will not return!”, stated the vice president.
