A year ago, in Beijing, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, agreed that both countries are in a new, solid stage of bilateral and international relations.
In this context, during the 17th session of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission between Venezuela and China, on September 13, 2023, the vice president stated that between both nations “there is a complementarity where strategic cooperation is the axis of the development of different sectors that can open up to a very beneficial future in Chinese-Venezuelan cooperation.”
The stage was conducive to the signing of 31 working documents on areas of economy, trade, education, tourism, science and technology, health, among others.
On June 28, Venezuela and China celebrated 50 years of trade relations and these ties of cooperation are consolidated and based on equality, as well as on the demonstration of the will of both nations to build a free world.
