The Vice President Rachel Peña inaugurated this Friday the High school Vicente Vargas in El Fundo and a new Comprehensive Early Childhood Care Center (Caipi) in San Felipe, in Santo Domingo North.
The high school was built with an investment of 167.2 million pesos and has 26 classrooms. Will offer education to more than 900 studentsthe Ministry of Education reported in a press release.
When delivering the keynote speech at the opening ceremony, the Vice President Peña highlighted the efforts that are being made by the Government to raise the educational quality of the students Dominicans.
“We are delivering many schools modern because we understand that the education “It is the basis of a strong society. We understand that it is not about future promises but about concrete actions, such as the one we are carrying out today,” said the vice president.
Peña cited that, as of today, the Government has delivered 1,850 classroomswhich serve as study houses for more than 65 thousand studentsHe said that 6,473 schools nationwide have been renovated and 25 new polytechnics built.
“With all this, we are guaranteeing that every day our youthschildren have access to a education quality, but above all in decent facilities,” he said.
The Vice President He stressed that, with the opening of the High school Vicente Vargas, Holy Sunday North moves towards a future better.
He pointed out that beyond the buildings, quality is based on the training integral of the students through the development of their academic skills, core values, and critical and creative thinking.
He also highlighted that among the efforts are the training continues from the educatorsstrengthening programs such as the transport TRAE school and Open Book.
The Deputy Minister of Technical and Pedagogical Affairs, Ancell Schecker, said he hopes that this will be a space for growth, learning and healthy Coexistence where they can realize their dreams.
While director of the center educational, Profeta Tolentino, considered that this project is a testimony of the power of the collaboration and the collective effort to improve the quality of the education of the and the students from the El Fundo community.

Caipi for 250 children
The Caipi San Felipe has capacity for 250 children ages 0 to 5 years from various sectors of Villa Mella, municipality Santo Domingo North.
In her speech, the director of the National Institute for Comprehensive Care for Early Childhood, Josefa Castillo, said that the institution is there to improve the quality of life of future generations and families living in vulnerable conditions.
“I make a firm commitment to work to guarantee the comprehensive development of the children who receive care at Inaipi centers. With this commitment we seek to contribute to ensuring that Dominican early childhood receives the services they need in the psychological, physical and social areas,” said Castillo.
Inaipi reported that with this, there are a total of 11 Caipi installed in the municipality Santo Domingo Northwhich added to 29 Cafi, complete 40 centers that host 12,394 children who are impacted by the services.
