Vice President met with ICC Deputy Prosecutor

The Vice President of the Republic Delcy Rodríguez held a meeting with the assistant prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Mame Mandiaye Niang, during her visit to the Netherlands.

During the courtesy visit they exchanged various topics in the field of Human rights (DDHH), including the lifting of unilateral coercive measures against Venezuela.

The information was provided, through her account on the vice president’s Twitter social network, “we explain the case of Venezuela 2 on unilateral coercive measures and their general impact on the enjoyment of the human rights of the Venezuelan people, as well as elements of legal assistance to Venezuela,” he said.

In the same way, they discussed the need for cooperation and dialogue to ensure justice in accordance with the Rome Statute, which establishes a process of legality and complementary jurisdiction for the attention of particularly harmful criminal forms.
It is worth noting that these indirect measures end up limiting access to food, medicines, primary inputs, machinery, spare parts and equipment necessary to guarantee the Fundamental rights and ensure the normal development of the Venezuelan population, reports VTV.
