María Corina Machado and Edmundo González intended to seize political power with the aim of turning Venezuela into a sheep of the United States. This was stated by the Executive Vice President of the Republic Delcy Rodríguez, upon receiving the statement of the Social Movements in support of the Law against Fascism.
“We knew that the plans of María Corina Machado, of González Urrutia, were to seize political power in Venezuela, with extremism, fascism (…), they want Venezuela to hand it over to the hegemonic powers, to hand it over to the United States, to the governments of Europe, to give away our natural resources, to turn Venezuela into one of the many sheep that the United States government has, of the sheep governments that obey, that kneel before their rude instructions,” he exclaimed.
Rodriguez said that the hatred expressed by extremists is driven by an international network of fascism that promotes hatred and death and intends to lead humanity into a large-scale war.
“It is an international network of fascism that brings to life the most anachronistic, anti-human, violent thoughts that promote death, hatred, and lack of love. Just as they led Europe into World War II, they intend to lead humanity into another world war of nuclear dimensions,” he emphasized.
He said that hatred was spread through social media and that he feels very sad because more than one of those involved has said that they went out to kill because on social media they were saying “we have to go out and kill Chavistas.”
He therefore pointed out that the Law against fascism will address such situations because we are dealing with “heartless” people who do not care about killing.
Rodríguez noted that Venezuela is setting an example for the world on how to defend peace.
He recalled that the patriotic army brought freedom under a concept of union of all peoples.
“On July 28, the Venezuelan people ratified President Nicolás Maduro as president, a popular, participatory and leading democracy.”
The vice president believes that hatred towards President Nicolás Maduro is an expression of the classism of the extreme right. “That is their greatest racist expression against the people, against the humble, and from that perspective one understands why the President and the people find it so annoying.”
Delcy Rodriguez: Maria Corina is a coward
He said that María Corina Machado is a coward, that she should come out and face up to her actions if she is acting like a “bully.”
“Let her come out and show her face, let her not send criminals to burn police stations, to burn schools, to burn health centers, to kill our youth. Coward! You are a thousand times cowardly if you act so brazen. Brazen are our Venezuelan women, the patriots, who defend this territory and have had to deal with the rude and criminal economic blockade against Venezuela,” she exclaimed.
She said that the migration occurred due to the blockade which was requested by “her and her henchmen.” “There is fascism, classism, the extremist factor,” she said.
He said that the opposition had staged a fraud “and we warned about it,” recalled Rodríguez, adding that the day before the election they went and bought an internet domain to publish their results.
“It is a danger for Venezuela, they wanted to repeat the history of Juan Guaidó, but they were careful” he said and said he believed there was a candidate when what was seen was a banner and a candidate tied to a chair
He held María Corina Machado and Edmundo González Urrutia responsible for the deaths that occurred after the June 28 elections. “They have to pay for the deaths, if they are being so cruel, supported by the United States, they must come out and face justice,” he stressed.
Honorable Social Movements
Upon receiving the statement from the Social Movements setting out their position regarding the violent events, the vice president stated that “it is an honor to receive this document rejecting hatred and fascist violence, because the heart of the Venezuelan people is full of love, the heart of the Venezuelan people is full of peace, patience, humility, and kindness in the face of the extremism that has attempted to impose itself in Venezuela by force.”
Rodríguez said that the extremists have found a country full of sovereignty, dignity and self-determination. We have never been, nor will we be, sheep of any foreign government. We are heirs of Simon Bolivar, of Rafael Urdaneta, of the Grand Marshal of Ayacucho, of Josefa Joaquina Sanchez, of Juana la Avanzadora, we are heirs of our heroes and heroines,” he said before the rally.
