The executive vice president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, led this Monday the installation ceremony of the First World Neighborhood Symposium, in which topics related to the transformation of communities will be addressed.
From the Teresa Carreño Theater in Caracas, Rodríguez highlighted the participation of international guests, both in person and virtually, from Japan, Colombia, Catalonia, Mexico, France, among others. One of the attendees is the Japanese architect Riken Yamamoto.
He recalled that Yamamoto has visited the country about five times, “the teacher is already famous in the neighborhoods of Caracas, on January 23, in San Agustín,” he stressed.
“He was awarded the most important architecture prize in the world (Pritzker Prize) in 2024, and here he brought his wisdom and recognition to the neighborhood,” he stated.
