Santiago, DR.- The Vice President of the Republic and coordinator of the Government Health Cabinet, Raquel Peña, led the inauguration and blessing of the new chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary of the José María Cabral y Báez Regional Hospital.
Along with the deputy president, the General Administrator of Banreservas, Samuel Pereyra, the director of the hospital, Dr. Bernardo Hilario, and other health authorities attended the inauguration and blessing of the new chapel from that center.
Also participating in the activity were the director of the North Central Regional Office of the National Health Service, Dr. Manuel Lora Perelló, Messrs. Jean Antonio Haché, Nicasio Pérez, members of the Board of Directors of the Banco de Reservas.
The words of blessing of the work were in charge of the Reverend Father, Felipe Enerio Valerio, who thanked the Most High for having allowed the chapel to become a reality in the hospital again.
Samuel Pereyra said that for Banreservas this type of work has a special impact because they are investments that with few resources fill great needs that the population is grateful for, this is a place of Faith for family members, the sick and medical personnel.
In the same order, the vice president stated that: With this work we must give thanks to God, because in this space the hospital once again has that place where it can make its faith felt more intimately.
Dr. Bernardo Hilario, director of the institution, thanked the government for the adaptation of the area, whose execution was carried out with the financial support of the state financial institution.
“Thanks to the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, to the Vice President Raquel Peña, to the executives of the Banco de Reservas and to the Volunteers who were involved in this work,” he stated.
Similarly, Dr. Hilario said that this is a clear manifestation of the government’s interest in maintaining the faith of the population, especially the patients of that center and their families.
The official ratified his commitment, as director of Cabral and Báez, to continue working full time to continue advancing in improving the population’s health.
Also present at the blessing ceremony were doctors Julio D, León and Manaces Peña, deputy director and medical director, as well as members of the hospital’s administrative council.
