Vice President: Guyana must get right without delay or delay

Vice President reviews the 7T Plan

“Venezuela will never renounce its sovereignty over Guyana Essequiba, nor will it desist from compliance with the Geneva Agreement, which Guyana is obliged to respect,” said the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, on Wednesday.

“Enough of your legal anorexia. Guyana must get right without delay or delay. “Venezuela is respected!” the senior official wrote on her social networks in response to the statements of Carl Greenidge, Guyana’s agent before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the controversy with Venezuela over the territory of Essequibo.

In this sense, he said that “The Guyanese agent Greenidge is a pathetic carbon copy of his friends at Exxon Mobil. Venezuela will never renounce its sovereignty over Guyana Essequiba, nor will it desist from compliance with the Geneva Agreement, which Guyana is obliged to respect. Enough of your legal anorexia. Guyana must get right without delay or delay. “Venezuela is respected!!”, he emphasized.

“Guyana steals oil, gas and gold from Venezuela, and depredates the environment of Essequibo while promoting imperial interventionism in our country,” he highlighted in his message.

“They learned from their colonizers the disdain for International Law and the open pathoterism with which they threaten the people,” warned the vice president, who reiterated that Venezuela is not intimidated and will defend its historical rights over the sovereign territory of Guayana Esequiba.

On Wednesday, The Venezuelan ambassador to the United Nations (UN), Samuel Moncada, rejected Greenidge’s statements, by describing them as dangerous for attacking Venezuela’s sovereignty over the Essequibo, in addition to creating tension in the region, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry reported on its Instagram social network account.

“It is a wrong, dangerous, servile strategy that threatens the peace between Venezuela and Guyana and the complete peace of the region. Scandalous, absolutely out of place, a false step that reveals something much more serious than the Essequibo issue,” Moncada asserted.

Venezuela’s agent before the ICJ in this case also warned that during his intervention before the ICJ, Greenidge dedicated himself to attacking the Venezuelan Government, barely mentioning the territory of Guayana Esequiba.

“What he is doing is repeating what he did in 2019, when, with the Lima Group, Guyana joined the United States strategy to overthrow the government of President Nicolás Maduro and impose a title against Venezuela, which would hand over the entire territory . . from Venezuela and from Essequibo to Guyana and the United States,” Moncada warned.

Likewise, he pointed out that there is a wave of new attacks against Venezuela’s sovereignty over its Essequibo territory, orchestrated by the Exxon Mobil company and in which Greenidge indicated that “we must defend ourselves from that illegal government with its international allies.”
