Vice President condemns Chilean Foreign Minister’s position on Venezuela

The Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, lamented this Friday that Chilean Foreign Minister Antonia Urrejola attacks Venezuela instead of attending to the internal affairs of her country, whose government, she affirmed, is “in rapid decline.” The aforementioned Chilean foreign minister met with her Spanish counterpart, José Manuel Albares, to request “dialogue” with Caracas and “free elections”, disqualifying the legitimate government of Nicolás Maduro Moros.

«Foreign Minister of Chile, Antonia Urrejola, as a good employee of (Luis) Almagro, attacks the Bolivarian Revolution instead of addressing the urgent issues of violence in Chile, its economy and a government that is rapidly falling. Whoever messes with Venezuela dries up: proven », she said through Twitter.

Rodríguez’s response comes after the meeting held by the head of Chilean diplomacy with her counterpart from Spain, José Manuel Albares, in which she advocated the holding of free elections in Venezuela.

At the press conference, Urreloja affirmed that his government condemns “the violation of human rights in Venezuela,” but assured that he is betting on a rapprochement with the government of President Nicolás Maduro.

In his opinion, President Gabriel Boric is committed to reestablishing the International Contact Group that was installed in Mexico to facilitate dialogue between the governmentrnon-Venezuelan and the Unitary Platform for “free and democratic elections” to be held in 2024.

The southern head of state, Gabriel Boric, has maintained an unclear position with the Bolivarian government since he came to power.
