Carrizo formalized his candidacy for the presidency of the Republic for the May 2024 elections, with the support of a large part of the members of the Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD) present and assured that he will go all out before the arrival of the primary elections. of the collective

“I pawn the PRD flag, we are going to win, we are going to win,” Carrizo said in his speech, stressing that he has the moral condition and determination to reach the presidency and end the inequality that exists in the country.

He stated that to achieve the goal of reaching the presidency he needs the support of all supporters of the Democratic Revolutionary Party.

In the act where a Posthumous Tribute to PRD leaders was made, within the framework of the birth of Omar Torrijos Herrera, deputy Raúl Pineda assured that within the PRD no one is chosen by hand because all candidates must go to primaries, even in the district of San Miguelito where they will hold “different primaries.”

Pineda also referred to the statements of former President Martín Torrijos about democracy within the PRD and said that democracy exists one hundred percent in the collective.
