Remaining united, preserving the rights to demand in the field of education, and staying in resistance were the requests made by the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, to the teachers of the country, during the Great March of the Educators of the Homeland made in Caracas.
“Teachers and teachers, I congratulate you for all the heroic deed of resistance and I invite you to remain united to continue defending Venezuela and lead it to the path of greatness”, despite the economic war promoted by the Government of the United States and the extremist sectors in Venezuela, Rodríguez said.
During the Great March in Caracas, Rodríguez said: “I bring the greetings of President Nicolás Maduro and deep appreciation to the heroes and heroines of education.”

At the beginning of her words, the Vice President pointed out that “nations march at the pace that their education walks”, after receiving from the teachers a document addressed to the National Executive with proposals that guarantee continuity in education in all institutions and the creation of a national movement of public education teachers.
In the same document, the teachers raise the call for debates in all educational spaces, with the aim of adding proposals that allow improving the condition of teachers. In addition, the national government is urged to seek alternatives to recover the purchasing power of teachers.
“Today Venezuela is great and you teachers have given the fight for the homeland, a heroic fight and described in the world as miraculous,” said the Vice President.
For Delcy Rodríguez, “thanks to the Magisterium and the workers, the people rise up to face victoriously without renouncing their rights and face the criminal blockade, the wildest the country has ever known.”
More than 900 sanctions against Venezuela
He commented that “a few hours ago President Nicolás Maduro presented his speech before the National Assembly and gave numbers of what the blockade means. There are 928 sanctions against the oil industry, the business sector, health, education.
“Venezuela has lost 634 billion dollars due to the blockade and every day that passes Venezuela loses 411 million dollars, which the extremist right steals from us and today we are here closing a victorious and growing year 2022, something that we cannot deny, in all sectors, but the enemy exists and in the last quarter of the year he tried to disturb the economic balance, a situation that workers suffer.
Committed to teachers and workers
Vice President Delcy Rodríguez stressed that at the present time, the Venezuelan people have a “working-class presidency and a President committed to the people, who understands each of their needs, because every dollar that entered the coffers of the Republic went to the workers, to homeland bonds. We still have a long way to go but we have a worker President waiting for the applications and today I receive them.
“I assure you that in a few hours you will hear from our President, I can assure you with patience and wisdom,” he said.
Engaged in dialogue
Vice President Rodríguez stressed that the national government continues to be committed to national dialogue and committed to complying with the provisions of the Social Agreement signed last November in Mexico between the Executive and the Unitary Platform of a sector of the opposition.

In this sense, he stressed: “The people of Venezuela demand that the Social Agreement be fulfilled and respected, that the money of the Venezuelans be returned and demands the lifting of all criminal, illegitimate sanctions. It is a national outcry, it is a popular outcry, and those who seek to manipulate will be defeated.
He recalled Henrique Capriles, “who now forgets that he requested sanctions and participated in the coup, or Leopoldo López, who continue in their attempt to undermine the peace of the country, but will be defeated.”
