Vice President arrived in Russia to participate in the XVI BRICS Summit

The executive vice president of the Republic, Delcy Rodriguezarrived this Monday in the city of Kazan, Russia, to participate in the XVI Summit of the Brics group, which will take place from October 22 to 24.

Through his accounts On social networks, Rodríguez thanked the country’s authorities for their reception.

“We have arrived in Kazan, Russia, to participate in the momentous XVI BRICS Summit, where a new world of legality and a new international economic order are being configured,” said the Minister for Petroleum, who is accompanied by the Chancellor, Yván Gil.

Furthermore, he highlighted that Venezuela forges its diplomatic and geopolitical foundations in anti-hegemonism and “in the sovereign equality of nations.”

Representatives from more than 20 countries will participate in the meetingin which authorities are expected to exchange on current regional and global issues, as well as debate various areas of cooperation.

The bloc was originally made up of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, but in January of this year Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia joined.

More than 30 countries have expressed their willingness to join the group, whose presidency was assumed by Russia on January 1.
