Calls for a shortened presidential term amid a protest over a supply and rumors of a sAlleged cabinet crisis, are actions that are directed by political groups opposed to the Government of Luis Arce and whose sole purpose is to destabilize, cause fear and anxiety in the population, said the vice minister and political expert, Jorge Silva, to EL DEBER.

The authorities are not surprised by the entirely political actions and demands that are made in the midst of protests of social sectors due to the lack of fuel, andamong others. He also denied that there was any crisis in the cabinet or that some ministers had resigned.

“It is all part of the destabilization process that our Government is experiencing from political actors who want that interest. They are asking for early elections, and later they will surely ask for the resignation of the Vice President and President. “This is part of a strategy by the political opposition that seeks to create an environment of social instability through blockades,” Silva said.

The biggest conflict the government faces is the lack of diesel and dollars. That is why President Arce personally took the baton.brought together all his trusted ministers to create an inter-ministerial committee to address the diesel crisis, which is coming from Arica and Peru.

In the midst of this conflict, calls arose to shorten Arce’s term and elections be called, they also demanded the change of ministersThe most closely watched is Édgar Montaño, Minister of Public Works.

The eight bishops of Arce

In the four years of government, Arce adjusted half of his cabinet of ministers and keeps the most questioned ones, such as Edgar Montaño from Public Works; Eduardo del Castillo from Government; Marcelo Montenegro from Economy; Franklin Pareja from Hydrocarbons and Ivan Lima from JusticeThe Ministers of Defense, Edmundo Novillo, of the Presidency, María Prada, and of Labor, Verónica Navia, are not exempt from criticism.

In the ministries where there were two changes, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Celinda Sosa, replaces Rogelio Mayta; Development Planning, Sergio Cusicanqui, replaces Gabriela Mendoza; and in Culture, Esperanza Guevara replaces Sabina Orellana. There were also changes: Mining with Ramiro Villavicencio, Marcelino Quispe and the current minister is Alejandro Santos Laura; Environment and Water, with Juan Santos Cruz, Rubén Méndez and the current minister is Humberto Lisperguer; Education: Adrian Quelca, Edgar Pary and the current one is Omar Véliz, and Health and Sports: Edgar Pozo, Jeyson Auza and the current minister is María René Castro. Rural Development and Lands had four ministers: Wilson Cáceres, Edwin Characayo, Remy Gonzáles and the current minister is Santos Condori.

WITHOUT SPOKESMAN
Following the resignation of presidential spokesman Jorge Richter, the head of state did not appoint another person to the post, and that role is being fulfilled by the current Vice Minister of Communication, Gabriela Alcón.

New coalition
Silva says that one of the factors that is harming the Government is the fracture of the MAS in the Legislative. The radicals of the MAS in alliance with CC and Creemos have created a “coalition” that is blocking international credits and generating ungovernability.
