He vice minister of tourism for International Cooperation of the Dominican Republic, Carlos Andrés Peguerohas visited Ávila once his official participation in the International Tourism Fair (Fitur), held in Madrid.
His stay in Spain has had the objective of reinforcing the positioning of the Caribbean country as strategic destination and explore new avenues of sustainable tourism cooperation.
During his visit to the capital of Avila, the Dominican representative held a meeting with the mayor, Jesus Manuel Sanchez Cabrerawith whom he has shared impressions about models of tourism managementheritage conservation and economic development strategies linked to the tourism cultural.
The vice minister has had the opportunity to learn about the historical value, cultural and heritage of the city, like the wall.
“He tourism It is a key tool for sustainable development and the connection between cultures,” he stated Carlos Andrés Peguerowho also directs the Tourism Development Project of Pedernales, a Dominican municipality and province.
