Vice Minister of the Presidency urges former police chiefs not to politicize the PN situation

Viceministro de la Presidencia insta a ex jefes policiales a no politizar situación PN

SANTO DOMINGO.- The Vice Minister of the Presidency, Alberto Rodríguez, urged former police chiefs not to politicize issues about the running of the institution.

He regretted that when they were in charge of the law enforcement unit they did not have solid initiatives to reform the Police as President Luis Abinader has.

“Now former generals are being uncovered in political suits giving lectures on how to manage the PN. But when they were in charge, what did they do? ”, The official wrote on his twitter account.

Rodríguez, who is the civil society liaison for the Ministry of the Presidency, ended his message by saying: “Let’s unify criteria without politicizing the issue, especially when there are human losses.”

After the incident in which a young man in the Naco sector detachment lost his life, the president publicly said that he was dismayed by the death of the young David De los Santos and specified that no case of this nature would go unpunished.
