A vessel allegedly used to transport drugs was seized by agents attached to the Regional Anti-Drug Intelligence Unit (Uria) No. 53, according to military sources.

The Virgen del Valle boat was anchored in the Beaches Morro de Puerto Santo, Arismendi municipality (Caribbean River), Sucre state.

The ship’s facilities were subjected to expert examinations by Uria agents.

During the procedure, the occupants of the Virgen del Valle were detained, including its captain Pedro Antonio Caraballo Adrián (captain), the motorist Frank Antonio Marcano Ordaz, as well as the sailors José Francisco Gómez Luis Eduardo Montaño, Francisco Raúl Gómez, Henry Ramón Rodríguez, Alexander José Leiva Yánez, César Aníbal López and Edgar Alexander Sánchez Rodríguez.

And at the alcabala located in Vega de Aza (Táchira), the military detained Sarai Esther Parra Medina and seized four packages of cocaine with a weight of 805 grams, hidden inside three packages of corn flour, according to a report from Detachment 215 of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) to which we had access.

Parra Medina was traveling in a public transport unit, coming from San Cristóbal (Táchira) and heading to Barquisimeto (Lara).
