For Jesús Vera, the MAS neighborhood leader who is promoting the process against former mayor Luis Revilla for alleged overpricing in the purchase of PumaKatari buses, the fact that the former authority has decided to go underground due to political persecution shows that he was responsible for the crime. for which he is accused.

“Mr. Luis Revilla has fled from justice and his situation is complicated. Who has nothing, fears nothing, and the fact that Revilla has fled and declared himself in hiding demonstrates his guilt. It is sad to see that a former authority does not face the population and does not explain what happened to the irregular tenders,” he said, who was prosecuted for the burning of the same municipalities in the 2019 conflicts.

Last night, Revilla declared himself in hiding, after the Prosecutor’s Office issued an arrest warrant against him and summoned his wife, Maricruz Ribera, to testify. “Today I am in hiding and I will be like this as long as possible and we continue to request more elements that confirm even more that (Jesus) Vera burned our 66 PumaKataris,” he says in a manuscript that was spread on social networks.

Vera indicated that she has “confirmed information” that the former mayor is in Brazil, along with her close circle of the Sovereignty and Freedom party (Sol.bo), who was also part of her work team.

He explained that the import policies delivered by the Mayor’s Office of La Paz and Customs show that there was an overprice of Bs 26 million in the first purchase of the PumaKatari buses and the second of Bs 48 million.

“Since Don Iván Arias, mayor of La Paz, adheres to the complaint filed by Fejuve, the situation for the former mayor is more complicated, because his political partner gave reason for the complaints that we have presented,” he added.

Jesus Vera was a candidate for deputy for the Movement to Socialism (MAS), in 2019 he was prosecuted as one of the main authors of the burning of 66 municipal transport buses. He was exonerated from this process by the justice, after the victory of the blue party at the polls in 2019.
