The PSTU candidate for the presidency of the Republic, Vera Lucia Pereira, defended today (9) the expropriation of the 100 largest companies in the country and the taxation of large fortunes as measures to improve the quality of life of Brazilians. Vera proposes taxation of large fortunes

“To improve the people’s quality of life; ensure food on the plate; employment for the unemployed; housing for the homeless; land to those who need to plant; you have to face the super-rich,” Vera said on social media.

The PSTU candidate also proposed to renationalise companies that were privatized, nationalize the financial system and carry out a radical agrarian reform, under workers’ control.

This Friday, Vera’s schedule included an interview on TV Onix, in São Carlos (SP); meeting with farmers at the December 21 Settlement, in Descalvado (SP); and participation in a plenary session in Jaú (SP).
