The census is carried out to be “organized because they took us by surprise on January 3,” he said, referring to the day when Nicolás Maduro was captured and transferred to the United States.
Rodríguez doubts that the figure of 450,000 Venezuelans in Ecuador, which has been around since the diaspora began, will be maintained, but he pointed out that the majority of his compatriots are concentrated in Quito, Guayaquil, Cuenca and Manta.
They want to know, for example, if indeed, as non-governmental migrant organizations say, there are 100,000 Venezuelans in Quito, and how many want to return to Venezuela, when, and their willingness to participate in eventual presidential elections in that nation.
The 17 questions
