The Human Rights Committee of the political organization Vente Venezuela denounced the arrest of two workers at the home of Corina Parisca, mother of the opposition leader, María Corina Machado. The detainees are identified as Reinaldo Emilio Gutiérrez and his son Reinaldo Andrés Gutiérrez, who were in charge of the care and maintenance of the home for more than 20 years.
“They were kidnapped and subjected to forced disappearance by regime officials last Sunday, October 26,” the organization stated through its account on the social network
They explained that against these workers the Sippenhaft method “for simply being related to the national leader’s family.” Vente Venezuela demanded information on the whereabouts of the Gutiérrez family and their immediate freedom.
Likewise, this organization reported that so far in the month of October, 43 people have been detained irregularly; of which, only seven have been released.
