“Urgent. Christian Méndez and José Ángel Lepage, two citizens kidnapped since yesterday, January 13, in Delta Amacuro. Christian is a very beloved athlete in the area. And Lepage has contributed to the ConVzla Command in the entity. Both are being criminalized by the regime. We demand freedom for Christian, José and all political prisoners,” Vente wrote in his account on X.

“Criminalized for demonstrating”
Moreno reported that Lepage, a political leader and collaborator of the Command with Vzla in the entity, “has disappeared” since yesterday afternoon, but that “close friends” assure that he is in the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin) of Tucupita; while Méndez was transferred to the “DSIP, an organization attached to the Delta Amacuro state police,” Moreno said.
“Both are now criminalized for exercising their right to peaceful demonstration on January 9,” said the VV coordinator.
“Masked regime officials violently took Christian away when he was preparing to give his functional exercise class near Paseo Malecón Manamo,” Moreno detailed.
Méndez and Lepage join the five detained for demonstrating on January 9, when the opposition leader, María Corina Machado, called to take to the streets; among them the journalist Julio Balzamember of the Command with Venezuela.
