An opposition majority proposed this Wednesday, December 21, the elimination of the “Interim Government” led by Juan Guaidó as Acting President of Venezuela, since 2019.
Guaidó, who has held this position since 2019 to face the management of Nicolás Maduro and recover democracy, is recognized by several countries in the American and European region. However, in the opinion of politicians, his leadership has weakened.
“After four years, the political process has weakened and is not perceived as an option for real political change, it has not achieved the expected liberation objectives and the country is demanding new paths that lead us to democracy,” the opponents consider.
Given this statement, Guaidó assured that he will seek to “accompany the constitution and recover democracy.”
