Venezuelans mobilize in solidarity with Palestine

He Venezuelan people He held a mobilization this Saturday to express his solidarity with Palestine and reject the genocide committed by Israel in Gaza.

The mobilization started from the Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda park towards the headquarters of the United Nations Organization, in order to raise their voice against the genocide, for respect for the lives of the Palestinians and the people of Lebanon, said the coordinator of the Palestine Solidarity Platform, Hindu Anderi, cited by VTV.

The Palestinian ambassador to the country, Fadi Alzaben, participated in the activity; the ambassador of Iran, Hojjatollah Soltani; the first vice president of the National Assembly, Pedro Infante; among other authorities.

The Iranian ambassador recalled that next October 7 will mark one year of Israel’s offensive against the Palestinian people, which has so far left 41,825 dead and 96,910 injured, according to local media.

The diplomat highlighted that that day, a year ago, “the killing, genocide operation” of the Israeli forces against the Palestinians began.”

“What is happening in Palestine is a holocaust, murdering 17,000 innocent children is a symbol of the holocaust; murdering more than 15,000 women is a symbol of the holocaust. The question is how and who should stop Israel’s killing machine,” he stressed.

Likewise, he questioned whether the Security Council and the United Nations “are not responsible for establishing world peace. Shouldn’t the Security Council stop the massacre that is happening in Palestine?

“The world is suffering from a double standard. The Security Council is kidnapped by the unjust law of some superpowers, especially the United States,” he said and questioned that if international law does not work, “what would be the response to defend the sovereignty and dignity of the countries.”

The ambassador asserted that the response comes from the unity of the people and the “legitimate forceful defensive response” like the one carried out by his country.

In the interventions made, the leader of the Lebanese resistance movement, Hasan Nasrallah, who died in an Israeli attack against Beirut, was remembered. His legacy of resistance and commitment to continue fighting for freedom and justice was highlighted.
