Venezuelans rescued from the terrorism confinement center, in El Salvador, demanded that the United Nations Organization (UN) issued a pronouncement to condemn the cruel and inhuman deals to those who were submitted, for four months, in clear violation of their human rights.
From the Palace of the Nations, located in Geneva, Switzerland, the citizen Arturo Suárez Trejo stressed that these repressive actions by the custodians of the CECOT “constitute serious violations of human rights, therefore, we request official pronouncements of its offices that condemn the illegal proceeding of the Salvadoran Government, and demands the cessation of any measure that puts the freedom and human rights of migrants at risk.
In this regard, he explicitly denounced the arbitrary detention crimes, torture and forced disappearance that was committed against Venezuelan citizens, in addition to pointing out that the authorities of the United States and El Salvador never reported on the crime committed, in addition, they kept them incommunicado, avoiding at all times any contact with lawyers or relatives ».
He also regretted the UN silence by not intercedeing and demanding the immediate freedom of all Venezuelans imprisoned in the CECOT.
Finally, Suarez requested that the international agency press to the United States so that this nation ceases the application of the Law of Foreign Enemies against its nationals based in US territory.
It is worth mentioning that on September 3, the Court of Appeals of the Fifth Circuit in New Orleans, United States (USA), ruled that the administration of President Donald Trump cannot accelerate the deportations of Venezuelan migrants accused without any evidence, arguing to be part of the extinct band of Aragua, using the law of foreign enemies dating from the year 1798.
