Regarding her participation in the 26th General Assembly of the UN Tourism taking place in the city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, visited the Institute of Tourism and Hospitality of the city. This meeting is part of the bilateral activities to strengthen experiences in the academic area.
“This visit is strategic because it opens the doors for the relationship between the National University of Tourism (Unatur) and the country’s private institutions, facilitating the training and exchange of good practices in tourism matters promoted by the government of President Nicolás Maduro,” said the Minister.
Likewise, he indicated that the inter-institutional agreements maintained by the Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism (Mintur) with public and private universities consolidate Venezuela as a power of highly qualified human capital.
Also present on this tour were the Venezuelan ambassador to Saudi Arabia, David Velásquez, Amel Al Atwi; director of the Institute of Tourism and Hospitality, Kenza Mezache; International Relations Manager of the Company for Education and Development of the MENA region, and Warren David Viljoen, Academic Director. For the Minister, it was a fruitful experience to share knowledge and the opportunity to establish agreements on education.
This transcendental exchange of knowledge seals Venezuela’s commitment to adopt new educational models, key to the vision of the National Executive. The head of national tourism highlighted, during this meeting, that through Mintur and Unatur, projects are carried out for the creation of hotels, schools that allow practical training and guarantee excellence in the quality of service.
