Venezuelan Red Cross drives operational to climate crises

In response to the severe floods caused by the climatic crisis and the recent seismic activity of this week, the Venezuelan Red Cross announced operational to strengthen collective preparation and risk management in the country.

The president of the Venezuelan Red Cross, Luis Manuel Farías, emphasized that the key is in community education. «Through our vast network of volunteers, we will promote training programs in schools, universities and communities».

Farías recalled the valuable inheritance of the former Red Cross school brigades, highlighting how they formed generations in first aid and risk management. Similarly, he stressed the urgent need to reactivate and strengthen citizen consciousness against the challenges imposed by the climatic crisis and disasters.

“In a context where emergencies demand an increasingly coordinated and fast response, the Venezuelan Red Cross reaffirms that its immutable mission is to protect human life and dignity,” said Farías.

«Therefore, we maintain an active and constant participation in the phases of prevention, preparation, response and recovery. Always by the hand of the communities and with the selfless delivery of our volunteers. “

The Venezuelan Red Cross explained that, so far from 2025, it has served 133 thousand people in various emergencies through 15 projects, with the aim of building a safer and more resilient country, where prevention and solidarity are fundamental pillars for everyone’s well -being.
